Sample clearance
If you wish to sample one of our works please read the following procedure to aid the process.
Please remember that no label credits should be prepared or printed before obtaining permission for the use of our work and that you are required to attain a sample clearance prior to any release of the new work.
Step 1
Send us a copy of the new song on either CD or mp3 and a covering note detailing…
- Title of the new song
- Artist name
- Record label/company responsible for release
- Proposed release date
NB. Please ensure that you also remember to include your telephone number and an email address for us to reach you on.
Step 2
Having listened to the new work we will consider whether or not we can give permission for the use, and on what terms.
It is normal practice for us to then own a percentage of the new song.
We will also advise you on a new label credit for the work.
Step 3
Once all parties have reached an agreement an agreement will be drawn up detailing the terms for the new work.
